MBG6 is an architecture and urban development-oriented office hotel of 1,550 square meters on four levels, located at Maria Bangata 6 in Södermalm. The office hotel opened in 2023 and is aimed specifically at businesses in architecture, construction and community development, with the opportunity for collaboration and exchange between professionals in these fields. The interior of the office hotel combines older details with a modern, functional aesthetic. The premises are characterized by large windows, visible ceiling installations and open spaces in combination with separate meeting rooms. The interior design varies between wood paneling, industrial finishes and color elements that create clear zones, for example through blue furniture and elements of oriental carpets in common areas. On level E, there are large social areas with a lounge, kitchen and dining room, while the other levels offer office workplaces, project spaces and meeting rooms. The coworking space offers a needs-based work arrangement where members use different spaces depending on the task. Lounge areas are available on all floors and vary in size, allowing for both work and informal meetings. Storage solutions and personal lockers are available, as well as storage space if needed. Membership of MBG6 includes access to bookable meeting and conference rooms at no extra cost, including a 20-person conference room. There is also a bicycle garage, showers, changing rooms, parking spaces and a meeting room. Breakfast is served every day and coffee and tea are available throughout the working day. Ergonomic office furniture is available throughout the office hotel. The property is located in the northern part of Södermalm, an area that includes both residential and office space. MBG6 is an office hotel and coworking space in Södermalm, at Maria Bangata 6, focusing on professionals in architecture, civil engineering and related technical and design areas. Here, architects, constructors, electrical consultants and designers, among others, gather in an environment that combines workplaces with common areas for collaboration and exchange. The office hotel opened in January 2023 on the initiative of Cedervall Architects, with the ambition of creating a shared work environment that promotes collaboration between different actors in community development. The idea was based on experience from previous shared office solutions. MBG6 is located in the former headquarters of the Swedish Tobacco Monopoly, a building from the 1930s designed by Ivar Tengbom. The premises comprise four floors and a total of 1,550 square meters. In addition to office space, there is a library, workshop and a common dining room that serves as a social hub.
