Offices on Östermalm are often synonymous with the iconic Svampen and Stureplan, but the area offers much more variety than that. Around Stureplan, popular addresses include Kungsgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan, and Norrlandsgatan. A coveted favorite for many is the streets around Nybroviken, such as Strandvägen and Nybrokajen, which offer the city's most impressive architecture and beautiful sea views. Another popular hub is Östermalmstorg, with direct access to the metro and several office options to compare.
Östermalm is one of the more expensive districts in Stockholm for offices, but if you avoid the most luxurious addresses, prices can actually be considerably lower than in the City. Östermalm, and especially Stureplan, is undergoing major changes with the reconstruction and demolition of large parts of the district. First came the renovation of Kungsgatan, which was widened and made more pedestrian-friendly. Since many of Östermalm’s finest offices are located on Kungsgatan, this change has been very well received. The Stureplan project is more extensive and is being carried out in phases, which means there is a lot of movement in the office market.
